Job Rotation - The first step for a career change
In an environment where employees are looking for new chances, it is important to offer them opportunities to stay challenged and motivated. Therefore, a few months ago, we have launched the Job Rotation Program.
Under this program, each employee can work for three weeks in a different position within our organization, instead of spending all the time in a single position.
One reason we launched the Job Rotation is the big potential for developing our employees as they can gain a better understanding of the different roles, the ‘big picture’, and how the organization operates. The program also revives an employee’s personal interests and hidden talents. This can bring to an improvement in their ability to perform various tasks and increase their motivation to learn.
Besides, employees build up a network they would otherwise never have access to. That widens not only one horizon but also opens attractive career paths. Colleagues can find out in which direction their career path goes. As the employees move from a team to another or a department to another, they can make new connections, which can be important in terms of future career opportunities. Two colleagues who took part in the program have changed their position after joining the program.
Gaining an understanding of and for each other, facilitates one’s work and increases the outcome’s quality. That’s why we strongly support rotation in our organization.
