Can you tell us more about yourself?

I come from Southern Moravia and after spending several years living abroad I came back to Brno. My professional background lies mainly in project management. In DTSE I am a part of the Strategy and Business Development (SBD) team. The role of SBD is to help DTSE develop and implement strategy, manage the decision-making bodies and take care of customer relationships.

What are the main activities of the SBD‘s Strategy Team you are a part of?

We are the in-house management consultants responsible for developing a target picture and implementing strategic measures for DTSE's medium-and long-term focus. Our outputs are fact-based analytical recommendations to senior management on topics influencing our entities in Germany, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Slovakia. We achieve this in close collaboration with our colleagues in other locations.

What is the biggest challenge you solved so far?

I cannot pinpoint one project that would stand out among others. As a strategy team, we are often facing unclear and unstructured challenges at first and it is our task to make it clear, give it a structure and provide guidance to others in order to reach a common decision.

What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started with us?

Be bold. If you have a question, ask. If you have an idea, speak up. DTSE is a lean and bottom-up organization where even though we are the smallest location our voice is always heard. As an example, I can mention our internal innovation idea contest where someone from Brno has always been among the winners.

What is your motto?

“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall” is my favorite one. This is something that I not only see in our guiding principles but most importantly in our colleagues that always try to take an additional step and go the extra mile.
