International Volunteer Day

5.11.2017

The 5th of December is a special day. The International Volunteer Day (IVD) was established by the United Nations General Assembly through Resolution A/RES/40/212 on 17 December 1985. This day represents a unique chance for individual volunteers, bigger communities and organizations to promote their contributions to development at the local, national and international levels.

Deutsche Telekom Services Europe Czech Republic offers to its employees the opportunity to take part every year in a Volunteer Day.

This is one of the benefits we are most proud of. What is better than helping?

The satisfaction of incorporating service into their lives and making a difference in the community makes our employees happy. We believe that employees who are involved in giving back are lead to a greater commitment and connection to the work and our aim is to create a wonderful working environment.

We are currently working on building up a network of associations, NGOs, organizations, which are looking for volunteers. And as our team is constantly growing, we can provide many helping hands.

Some of the activities we support include teaching, language exchanges, personal assistance, planting trees, supportive learning. This is just a very short list, but we look forward to engaging in many other activities.

To our network of partners belong Maltézská pomocDiecézní charita Brno,ParaCENTRUM Fenix, Sazime Stromy.

Together with the volunteer day, we run other activities such as Charity markets and food collections.

We have also recently launched a new project Volun-T, with the goal of shaping our #socialresponsibility, promoting volunteering activities to our colleagues, and having a "green" office!

If you would like to know more about our activities, or you are an NGO looking for volunteers, we look forward to hearing from you!

Drop us a message! It will be our honour to support your projects!
