FAQ

The DTSE hackathon is not only a competition in Machine Learning and Text Mining but also an opportunity for networking, connecting and engaging people around with a common purpose. We want to create an environment of learning and exchange with our Managing Director and professionals, already working in this field of technology. Eventually it’s an opportunity to be offered a paid internship or a job within our Data Analysts team.

Don’t worry! We will start the Hackathon by setting up the teams. Participants who stay without teams will be eventually mixed and grouped in teams of 3 max.

The Hackathon is taking place at Deutsche Telekom Services Europe office, in Holandská 859/3, 639 00, Brno, Czech Republic

Aside from your passion, you should bring your own laptop, chargers, phone and  any device or software that you think would be helpful in coding.

Food, coffee and other soft drinks will be served throughout the day.

Our offices will be open to use like following:

Friday 17 May 2019: from 15:00 until 20:00

Saturday 18 May 2019: from 9:00 until 20:00

Sunday 19 May 2019: from 9:00 until 18:00.

DTSE Hackathon is open to anyone with a driven mind and likes coding. Preferably anyone who has knowledge in Machine Learning and Text Mining and wants to learn from experienced mentors.

You can register whether you have a team or not. If you have a team, all members should register individually. Teams should have 2-3 members.

The Hackathon will officially start on Friday 17th of May 2019.

After a short introduction you will have the opportunity to meet other participants and create your team. The coding will then start, but there will be no overnight staying. The office will close at 20:00 and the participants will be back on Saturday morning to continue the hacking.

At the end of the Hackathon, each team will have the time to prepare and present their results.  The first 3 winning teams will then receive their awards. In addition, we will select participants who will be offered a paid internship or a job position within our Data Analysts team.
