Meet Jakub: a Process Manager and a great singer!

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I studied economics and management in Brno and Vienna and joined DTSE almost 5 years ago. I used to work 5 years as team lead in contact centers. My hobbies are tennis, cooking and travelling.

What is the Digi Project Team about? What are your tasks?
Within the Digi department, I work as a Process Manager / Business Analyst for our Salesforce CoE Team. We call us internally "Svíčková Team" as our Polish Salesforce developers love to order this dish.
Our main goal is to optimize and automate processes in Salesforce Platform, while still keeping the system up and running. There are many Projects we run currently. One of the biggest is our new internal Customer Service Portal, which will be launched at the beginning of the next year. I also work very closely with the Competence Center as one of their main points of contact. The range of my tasks is very wide, and you can learn something new every day.

What was your favorite team event?
One of my all time favorite team events was when we went to Komec for one of our very first Summer parties. This place is spacey enough and just great for after work activities.
There you can easily enjoy sports, barbecue, music and karaoke of course. But I am happy about our events in general. We have great team buildings in DTSE.

How do you manage the work-life-balance?
Having enough time for my work and my personal life is essential for me. The right balance is not something you find, but it is something you create.
The key is not just to prioritize what is on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities. Every day, I make plans for work and my after-work activities.
Meeting my deadlines at work while still having enough time for family, friends and hobbies makes me happy. Also, I appreciate our current home office policy, which is bringing a lot of flexibility into my life.

How would you describe your perfect day?
For me, a perfect day would be a day when everything lands just right, and I don’t have to worry about anything. Just being free to go. I would love to rest and spend time doing things I love with my loved ones.
I would choose one or two favorite activities and fully enjoy the day with them.

What do you wish you had known 10 years ago?
Not to be afraid to take more risks and challenging things in my life, and also not to be afraid to begin something completely new.
In the past 10 years, the best moments I’ve had and the things I’m most proud of sprung from the decision to try something different.

If you had a slogan for your life, what would it be?
I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, and sometimes good things fall apart, so better things can fall together.
